Rooming at the FIT Show

Prefix Systems returned from their debut at the FIT Show with a large number of qualified sales leads, having dazzled visitors with a range of inventive products for the extended living space market including GardenRoom and their new UrbanRoom.

Yet one of the stars of the show was the new prototype Clearview rooflight, which features triple glazing in neutral, blue and green tints, a variable pitch, fully insulated frame, coompletely sealed design and can boast U-values as low as 0.6 W/m2K. As with everything design and engineered by Prefix Systems, it’s also incredibly easy to install.

Having built their success as a BBA accredited Ultraframe fabricator, in recent years Prefix have undertaken their own research and development programme which has notably yielded the tiled GardenRoom roof. This was a focal point on the stand with the development of a new insulated eaves beam, which has been designed to eliminate any chance of condensation on insulated roofs with an internal plasterboard finish. The insulated eaves beam ensures that ‘cold bridging’ is avoided, which is vital in preventing plasterboard becoming damp and mouldy over time, something that has become a real issue for installers and homeowners in this emerging sector.

The new contemporary UrbanRoom was also a popular addition to the stand, designed to capture an alternative audience seeking additional living space., yet with a more contemporary twist than GardenRoom. The latest version of their GardenRoom brochure was also warmly received along with a new 28 page trade brochure, that’s packed with everything from conservatories, Ultraframe’s Loggia, to GardenRoom and even ancillaries. This brochure is very much seen as the ‘bible’ for all things related to the conservatory and extended living sector.

Chris Baron and Chris Cooke, co-directors of Prefix Systems commented: ‘We had a wonderful and rewarding show with numerous quality leads and we’ve even committed ourselves to the 2016 FIT Show. It’s great to exhibit again in front of such enthusiastic visitors, thirsty for new dynamic products which we had en masse.’
