Sliders UK reports significant Q1 growth

Sliders UK has reported significant Q1 growth on the back of increasing demand for Secured by Design products. The specialist door manufacturer, which last month was listed by the London Stock Exchange Group as among UK’s 1,000 fasted growing SMEs, reported that turnover was up by more than 31 per cent in Q1 2016, compared to the same time last year.

The growth coincides with significant investment by Sliders UK in its product offering. This has included three new door launches in the first three months of the year including the Veka Imagine bi-folding; the Kömmerling PremiLine PRO inline sliding door and a second aluminium bi-fold door system from Kestrel.

This comes in on top of established offers including the Eurocell Ultimate Aspect PVC-U bi-fold, inline sliding doors from Duraflex, and aluminium bi-folding and inline sliding doors from ALUK.

Steve Mines, Sales Director, Sliders UK said: “It’s been a very good start to 2016 with increases in turnover topping the 30 per cent in the first three months of the year.

“This is in part attributable to continued and growing demand for Secured by Design accredited products with notable pick-up in the commercial sector in Q1.

“We’re also doing more composite doors as the trade switches on to the benefits of buying from a single point of supply and the significant economies that that delivers.”

Including traditional and contemporary designs, Sliders UK Ultimate Collection composite doors are built around the market leading 44mm Nan Ya slab, with its high insulation foam core and robust through-coloured GRP facings.

This is combined with a choice of the fully reinforced Duraflex, Veka and Eurocell 70mm PVC-U outer frame and slim, low line aluminium thresholds with twin seals.

With multiple options on locking, an enhanced security option uses Fullex Kinetica TS007 3 Star Kitemarked cylinder system to deliver an SBD/PAS24:2012 option. Handles and door furniture are Fab & Fix.

Standard colours are black, red, blue, green, Gold Oak and Rosewood. In its entirety the range includes a choice of 40 satin finishes including the popular Chartwell, to greys including platinium, lead, and granite through to Pistachio and Claret.

“It’s very difficult to second guess the impact a referendum on UK membership of the UK is going to have, however, this aside, we’re forecasting continuing growth throughout the year”, continued Mines.

He concluded: “We’re seeing a real return of confidence and the investment that we have made so far this year, plus the very significant new developments that we have planned for later in 2016, will give us and most importantly our customers, some very unique opportunities.”
