The Residence Collection & Window Widgets to complete Three Peaks challenge as part of fenestration industry fundraising

Staff from premium window and door designer The Residence Collection, and the leading manufacturer of glazing solutions, Window Widgets, are set to take on the National Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for motor neurone disease.

Between September 29th September and 1st October, the five-strong team from The Residence Collection and Window Widgets including Jo Trotman; Sarah Hitchings; Jason Dando; Andrew Taylor and Jade Nelson, will join forces with other leading fenestration industry brands,as part of their pledge for Jaki’s Journey.

Companies also taking part are Kuba, Roseview Windows, Avantis, Veka, Nozzle and Listers, where they will work together to complete a 27-mile hike across Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon with a combined climb of 10,000 feet.

As part of the challenge, the leading fenestration businesses will raise funds and awareness for Jaki’s Journey with everything raised going to the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Jaki’s Journey is a cause close to one of the members of the team, as one their friends was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in summer 2022 just seven months after getting married. Since the diagnosis, Jaki’s condition has rapidly deteriorated.

The team originally set themselves a target of £1,000 which they have now surpassed thanks to their generous supporters, but they are continuing to push to raise as much money as possible for the cause.

Jo Trotman, marketing manager of The Residence Collection and Window Widgets, said: “Our team is incredibly proud to be teaming up with many other businesses in our industry to raise vital funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

“It’s going to be one of the biggest challenges many of us have ever faced physically with 27 miles of walking to cover and a driving distance of 462 miles between the three highest peaks in the UK.

“We’ve come so far with fundraising for Jaki’s Journey and we’re sure with the support of friends, family and co-workers in the industry that we will be able to raise even more money towards improving the care and research for those suffering with motor neurone disease.

“Just £10 will help fund an information pack that is given to a newly diagnosed person with MND, so any donation no matter the amount will be beneficial to support the charity and those that desperately need their services.”
