The UK’s only dedicated event for the window, door, hardware and flat glass industry branded the ‘Fabricator and Installer Trade Show’ – or the ‘FIT Show’ – is returning for its tenth year at the NEC Birmingham, from the 23rd to 25th May 2023.
Exhibiting at this year’s show is leading external shading company, Caribbean Blinds. The designer, manufacturer and installer of outdoor shading products comprising of pergolas, awnings and blinds, has been transforming the use, functionality and enjoyment of all types of outdoor spaces for over 35 years.
Here, Managing Director at Caribbean Blinds, Stuart Dantzic, shares his thoughts on all things glazing and shading, as well as an exclusive insight into what visitors can expect to see from their stand.
What will you be showcasing at the show? Our entire award-winning range of external shading systems, which are all manufactured in the UK – in less than two weeks. The range consists of all-weather louvered roofs that enable year-round use of outdoor spaces, contemporary patio awnings that provide flexible shade and shelter, and innovative external blinds that offer unbeatable solar heat and light control.
What can visitors expect to see at your stand? The very finest UK manufactured external shading systems that create cool, comfortable and sustainable spaces where people love to be. Our products are designed, engineered and built to last – they are the very pinnacle of precision and innovation.
Why did you decide to participate in the FIT Show? Wherever glazing is installed, there is an opportunity and need for external shading. Our products are a natural addition to an installer’s product portfolio, increasing average sale values and boosting profits. The two products go hand-in-hand, so the show was a natural fit for us to showcase our solutions to the sector.
What do you hope to achieve from the FIT Show? To reach out to and partner with forward-thinking installers who are looking to grow their sales with the addition of external shading, which is sold and installed at the same time as glazing. We want to showcase an exciting and profitable new revenue stream to the industry. Installers already have the right skillset and equipment to install external shading – so it really is a no-brainer!
Is there anything new that you will be sharing/unveiling at the show? Along with our existing external shading solutions, our newly launched trendsetting awning and screen fabric collections for 2023 will be showcased at the exhibition. These fabrics offer unbeatable solar heat, light, UV and rain protection, and are produced using premium acrylic fibres that do not stretch, tear, warp or fade due to their exclusive nanotech TEXgard coating which generates a self-clean effect.
In addition, we will be launching our latest awning and pergola sales aids, including sample kits that enable installers to effortlessly sell our products, as well as allowing end customers to touch and feel sections of the solution and see the superior quality and finishing touches first-hand.
