Evidence of Alchemy at Smart

Smart Architectural Aluminium has launched a new range of finishes to complement its already extensive range of colour options. In addition to the company’s Naturals range of standard finishes and its bespoke Sensations options, customers can now select eight anodised colour matches from the new Alchemy range which combines the unique style and aesthetics of anodising, with the advantages of a high quality powder coating process.

Created as a perfect match to the traditional anodising process, the Alchemy range includes shades of gold, bronze, silver, grey and black and whereas the anodising process is notoriously difficult to precisely control colour, the use of powder coating technology assures consistent and precise colour matches time after time.

Commenting on the Alchemy launch, Smart’s Managing Director, Eddie Robinson said: “This range is another great addition to our product offer. Not only does Alchemy provide customers with a very cost-effective and highly durable alternative to traditional anodised profiles, but it also enables us to offer colour-matched accessories for anodised finishes. By bringing the process in-house, we retain complete control over the entire manufacturing and finishing process and, in line with our other colour options, we are delighted to offer a full 25 year guarantee for Alchemy”.

In line with the company’s sustainability ethos, Smart’s modern finishing plant incorporates a number of environmental features, including a rain water harvesting system, which captures and holds 220,000 gallons of rain water for use in the pre-treatment process, and an advanced powder recycling system, which captures 98% of the excess powder that is used during coating.
