Window Supply Company recently welcome Prime Minister and Labour Party leader Sir Keir Starmer, Leader of the Scottish Labour Party Mr Anas Sarwar, and Labour Party candidate for Bathgate and Linlithgow Kirsteen Sullivan to its HQ.

With economic growth and recovery after Covid a key part of the Labour Party’s manifesto, they were keen to visit Window Supply Company to find out about the company’s’ national growth.

Since setting up the business in 2019, WSC has very quickly become the largest manufacturer of PVC-U windows and doors for trade in Scotland, now positioned as one of the largest trade manufacturers in the UK, employing over 180 people nationwide.

The visitors were welcomed by Chief Operating Officer Martin Linden on Friday last week who led a tour around the 105,000 ft2 site in Murraysgate Industrial Estate, Whitburn, West Lothian. Throughout the tour the team were able to directly engage with Sir Kier, Anas and Kirsteen who were happy to answer any questions and stop for photographs. A valuable opportunity to speak to the man who shortly after the visit was elected as the new UK Prime Minister.

Speaking during the visit Sir Keir Starmer said: “I’m here because I want to put forward our plan for growing the economy which is the single most important thing for Scotland. To make sure that living standards go up here, that people feel better off living here, and that we secure the jobs of the future. Part of that is the 10-year project for research and development, which will be a game changer in Scotland when it comes to the energy sector, to renewables and the insulation of houses across Scotland, and we are seeing some of that here today in this factory. “

Scottish Labour Party Leader Anas Sarwar added: “Brand Scotland is a key part of our economic growth plan for Scotland, and a key part of our economic growth plan for the UK. By electing a Labour government, we will make sure we change the Scotland office so that it becomes Scotland’s window to the world. “

WSC Chief Operating Officer Martin Linden says: “We were delighted to have the opportunity to welcome Sir Keir, Anas and Kirsteen to Window Supply Company to tell them about the business. Providing an insight into the jobs we have created here in West Lothian and nationally through our trade counter network. We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved to date which was clear for our visitors to see today. I hope we are supported by the new elected government to continue to grow in our sector.”
