Window Widgets and its sister company, The Residence Collection, raise over £2.2k at race day

Over 400 people attended the Glass Times Race Day at Haydock in July which saw Window Widgets and its sister company, The Residence Collection, raise over £2.2k for its two chosen charities.

This is the first time in two years that Haydock Park has returned to the Glass Times calendar since COVID, with a second event at Epsom Down set to return on September 9th. With this being a popular event in the fenestration industry, many in the industry were in attendance, including The Residence Collection and Window Widgets team.

Window Widgets and The Residence Collection sponsored the raffle on the day and had a number of prizes on offer, including a magnum of Moet Champagne and a variety of hampers. In total, they raised £2500.00 for two charities – We Mind & Kelly Matters and GM Fundraising. This comes as part of their mission to raise £21,000 to be distributed between the two charities following the company’s 21st birthday in 2021. The funds raised from Glass Times Race Day brings the window brands total to £12,760, only £8,240 until they hit their target! In addition to raising funds at Glass Times Race Day, Window Widgets have published a Pink Book Of Jokes which is sponsored by organisations in the industry.

The first Glass Times Race Day was held in 2007 to provide a new and exciting opportunity for those within the industry to get together and enjoy a nationwide loved event. The fenestration industry is a very sociable one, so a race day posed a great opportunity to network and socialise with others within the industry in a fun environment.

Now 15 years have passed, the Race Day is a well-respected annual event that the industry looks forward to, selling out every year. The Haydock Race Day in July hosted over 400 people and represented over 200 companies, and another sell out is expected for the Epsom Race Day in September. The day consists of a champagne reception, a 3 course meal and of course, lots of racing and socialising.

Previously, Gloucestershire-based window and door company Window Widgets sponsored the Epsom Race Day and this year their sister brand, The Residence Collection, will sponsor the same event in September. In addition to their sponsorship, both brands are raffle sponsors for both events and provide a number of excellent prizes to be won.

Jo Trotman, Marketing Manager at Window Widgets and The Residence Collection commented: “It was a fantastic day at Glass Times Race Day and the Window Widgets and The Residence Collection team who attended thoroughly enjoyed themselves. It was fantastic to see such a great turn out and connect with so many other people within our industry. Most importantly, we’re thrilled that we raised more money to add to our fundraising target for We Mind & Kelly Matters and GM Fundraising and we thank everyone who contributed to these two great causes.”
