Central Joinery Group awarded British Woodworking Federation’s Process & Resource Efficiency Award

Central Joinery Group, based in Derbyshire, has won the British Woodworking Federation’s (BWF) Process & Resource Efficiency Award.  Sponsored by the Materials and Finishes Show 2024, the Award recognises exceptional projects or initiatives that demonstrate the most efficient use of business resources or materials.  

 Central Joinery Group has won the Award in recognition of its’ implementation of an extraction system that not only improved the reduction of wood dust but demonstrates significant environmental and sustainability benefits by reducing energy consumption and CO2. The judges praised the project as an “installation of clever sustainable technologies that has made a dramatic impact on dust and noise reduction, as well as improving energy consumption and lowering emissions”. 

Kyle Archbold, Operations Director at Central Joinery Group, said: “We’re incredibly proud to have been recognised for our commitment to sustainability and safety. The implementation of the extraction system has significantly reduced the amount of noise and dust in the workshop, making it a safer place to work for all our employees”.

 The prize was presented at a celebratory awards evening at The Langham, London Hotel.
